We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our growing organization.  In this role, you will support the development, testing, and deployment of program under U.S. Space Force (USSF). You'll collaborate with a diverse program team and must be able to communicate effectively in obtaining and synthesizing requirements. This is an excellent opportunity to add to your tech stack while supporting national security.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the DevOps team and Integration Test Engineers to ensure system integrity. 
  • Design, develop, test and debug new features or enhancements to existing services. 
  • Design and implementation, building, deployment, and configuration management.
  • Build and test automation tools for infrastructure as a service (IaaS) & Platform as a Service (PaaS). 
  • Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve DevOps environment. 
  • Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations. 
  • Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improve development delivery. 
  • Document and design various processes; update existing processes. 
  • Consult with peers for feedback during testing stages.
  • Assisting with management of CI and CD tools for an Agile environment. 
  • Employment best industry practices.

Education/Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen AND possess an active U.S. Dept. of Defense Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP eligibility).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with DevOps and Software Testing. 
  • Experience with the full lifecycle of software systems; including development, testing and deployment 
  • Experience with Platform as a Service (PAAS). 
  • Experience with Linux infrastructures.
  • Experience with Database SQL (MS SQL), CI/CD tools.
  • Experience with scripting tools such as Python, Perl, Ruby.
  • Experience with provisioning and orchestration tools, including Jenkins / Bamboo.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management. 
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently. 

Preferred:

  • Experience with Terraform in both cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Hands-on experience with building and managing release systems, code merging and promotion, and CI/CD workflows and tools. 
  • Experience with CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible in production environments. 
  • Experience with revision control source code repositories (Git, SVN, Mercurial, Perforce). 
  • Experience working with and delivering using Agile practices. 
  • Experience with Argo CD.
  • Monitoring experience with Splunk, Elk, Kibana, Grafana, etc. 
  • Knowledge of Cloud computing i.e. AWS, GovCloud, or similar. 
  • Experience with infrastructure development, or development and operations. 
  • Experience with automated testing. 

For this role, the annual compensation range for candidates in Colorado is ($97K-$150K)*. 

*Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. FTI has a location-based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
